Matokeo Zanzibar (this site) does not require an account to search or view exam results. This page explains what information is collected and how the published exam data is sourced.

What we collect

We do not run accounts or collect personal profile data on this domain. Search queries you type into the site (school name or exam number) are processed to return results but are not linked to an identity. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) are kept briefly for security and reliability, consistent with normal web hosting practice.

Where the exam data comes from

Displayed exam results originate from Baraza la Mitihani Zanzibar (BMZ), the Zanzibar exams authority. This site is a public mirror and search interface for that data — it is not user-submitted, and this site does not verify or alter it beyond formatting for display.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a language-preference cookie to remember whether you're viewing the site in English or Kiswahili, and a session cookie shared across the Matokeo network (via accounts.matokeo.co) if you choose to sign in. Signing in is optional and only affects personalised UI — it is not required to look up results.
